Wellness Coordinator Certification
Wellness Coordinator Certification Program
As the cost of health care insurance continues to skyrocket, corporate and community wellness programming will be in high demand. Fifty percent of U.S. companies are offering some type of corporate wellness programming. Consider that in the past 10 years, employer sponsored health insurance premiums have risen 119%, more and more corporations will be forced to contain their health care costs. Beginning in 2011, the Patient Protection and Affordability Act section of the recent health care reform legislation will offer grant programs and tax incentives for businesses. As a result, corporations, both large and small will be looking for qualified individuals to lead evidenced based and comprehensive wellness programming for their organizations.
